Trimmed Crochet Jacket Pattern

Cover Jacket: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the above picture jacket, as well as a number of simply adornments to change the look. The jacket is simply styled as a toss on sweater, cover-up or cardigan. Keep it plain or embellish it with any of the POP suggestions illustrated. It is an easy pattern stitch alternating between singe and double crochet; below-elbow sleeves are worked on the bias. The pattern is sized 12 to 14. Instructions are written for size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 shown in parentheses.

Materials:   Wool and nylon fingering yarn, 1-oz skeins;   Steel crochet hooks Nos 1 and 2;   Grosgrain Ribbon;   Matching thread and tapestry needle.

Gauge: 13 sts = 2 inches; 11 rows = 2 inches (Pat, No 1 hook)
