Doilies

Literally, thousands of doily patterns were marketed by the Mail Order pattern franchises.  The designs were in many varied motifs - something for everyone - in round, oval, and square shapes.  The designs of Alice Brooks, American Weekly, and Laura Wheeler typically had doilies in multiple sizes based on thread choice.  Often the designs are built on each other; i.e., the same border with a different center, etc.  Often one doily pattern would be marketed by all three companies under different numbers in different years.   The patterns of Anne Cabot, Peggy Roberts, and Needlework Bureau contained just one size. 

There are MANY more doily patterns out there.   Should you have any not in this collection I hope you would consider trading or selling (for a small fee).   I am trying to build a master collection of these patterns.  

As this category grew larger, I separated the pineapple doilies to a section of their own.
