Knitted Two Piece Suit: This pattern contains directions for a Knitted Suit made in two colors. The jacket is done in a tweed-effect; the skirt, with permanent pleats is Knitted in a solid color. Suit may be made in two sizes: 32-34 and 36-38.   This is an intermediate to advanced pattern.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7083 in 1956.
