Wool Cardigan Knitting Pattern with Embossed Pattern Stitch

Cardigan : This pattern contains directions to knit the cardigan shown. The picture (vintage 1950 from Modern Needlework) does a poor job showing us the pattern detail, however, the picture description is very helpful - 'Smartest in soft white wool to accent the unusual embossed pattern stitch" The semi-fitted long sleeve cardigan has a high neckband opening and seven front button closure. It is hip length and misses size 14, with changes for 16 and 18 in parentheses.
