Swan Filet Crochet Chair Doily Pillow, Design 6540

Filet Crochet Chair Set: This filet crochet chair set and matching pillow are made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The chair set maybe used on a buffet or the chair back as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes charts for the chair back and arm rest.   When completed, the chair back will measure 15 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 7-1/2 x 14 inches each.  The pillow measures 18 x 18 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6540 in 1940.   It was later marketed under the Laura Wheeler brand.
