Description
Crocheted Doily : This pattern contains directions for crocheting the doily shown. The doily, actual size not stated, is billed as a centerpiece, so I'd assume the size is, at a minimum 24 inches in diameter. It's a lovely piece, that's for sure. A large sunflower motif dominates the center, surrounded by bordered and scalloped edges.
This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts 2295 (Needlework Bureau), and later under the name of Anne Cabot. The pattern was featured in the Anne Cabot 1955 Needlework Album.
