Peacock Filet Crochet Pattern, Chair Set, Laura Wheeler 1119

Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This filet crochet set with the peacock design may be used for a chair back set, buffet set or scarf ends. In string, the large piece measures 13 x 16 inches and the small piece 7 x 13 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1119 in 1936.   The newspaper description:  "Make this handsome chair set as a Christmas gift. Or, do a scarf with ends of larger pieces. You'll be as proud as the peacock to call this your needlework: you'll find it much admired. What's more, its very inexpensive - all you need is string".

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached knitting and crochet cotton (in 800 yard skeins) is used and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.
