Filet Crochet Peacock Pattern, Chair Set, Laura Wheeler 1550

Filet Crochet Chair Set :  This filet crochet chair set, made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a filet chart for the chair back and arm rests.   The chair back will measures 13 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 5-1/2 x 13 inches each. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1550 in 1937.  The newspaper description:  "Behold. An easy and swift way to beautify any chair. Simple crochet this handsome chair set, resplendent with its regal peacock motif set of by a background of easy K stitch. The set also makes an stunning ensemble for buffet"

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.
• 2 (500 yard) skeins will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends.
