Crochet Cloche Pattern, Pointed Top, Flower Trim

Liberty Hat : This pattern contains directions to crochet the hat pictured. This design, 1943 from Spool Cotton, was named Liberty; no doubt in support of the ongoing war effort; i.e., crochet and wear Liberty. It's a cute hat, close fitting as a cloche would be, with with a slight pointed rise on the top back that is folded over. A small flower adorns the front side.

Materials:

• J. & P. COATS KNIT-CRO-SHEEN, 2 balls of Skipper Blue.
• J.& P. COATS OR CLARK'S O.N.T. PEARL COTTON, size 5,
• 1 ball each of Red and White for trim.
• Bone Crochet Hook No.6.
• Wind Knit-Cro-Sheen into 4 equal balls.
