Cloche Hat and Handbag Crochet Pattern

Hat & Handbag : This pattern contains directions to crochet the accessory set shown. Here we have a fun set, vintage 1950's from Hiawatha Yarns for both a hat and a handbag. Both items are a fairly easy crochet project and have the added appeal of wooden bead adornments. The hat is cloche styled with a small crown and the handbag is a pouch with small (purchased) wooden handles. Note: Both the hat and bag require a frame - referenced in materials.

Materials:

• Hiawatha Super Corde Art. 38: 3 tubes for Bag ; 2 tubes for Hat.
• Hiawatha Multicolor Wooden Beads: 8 strings (800 beads) for Bag ; 4 strings (400 Beads) for Hat.
• Hiawatha Bag, Frame No. 6670 and Masonite Bag Insert No. 6620 (3" x 7" Oval).
• Hiawatha Hat Frame No. 6682. No.
• 1 steel crochet hook.

GAUGE: 6 sts = 1".
