Description

Crocheted Chair Set:  These filet designs--the large one 12-1/2 x 15 inches, and the small one 6 x 12-1/2 inches--are for chair back sets, scarf ends or buffet sets. The decorative pattern of flowers and butterflies is set off by the open K stitch. Directions and charts are given below.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1084 in 1936.   A companion chair set pattern, Laura Wheeler Design 1236, was marketed a week earlier.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1 skein (800 yards to the skein) of unbleached crochet and knitting cotton and a No. 5 steel crochet hook.
