Childs Crochet Jacket Pattern with Bunny

Reefer Jacket No 61 : This pattern contains directions to crochet the girl's jacket shown. This design, vintage 1950 was billed as a Reefer Jacket, although I don't believe, with a single button band, it quite meets the label. Either way, it's a cute design. The official description: "She'll love a bunny peeping out from one of the pockets on her "crocheted with wool" navy jacket. White chain stitches and red running stitches 'round the collar. Crochet bunny and sew him on! Stuffed toy shown is McCall Pattern No. 1499 (35c)."

SIZES 2, 4, 6 - Instructions are for size 4. Changes for sizes 2 and 6 are in parentheses.

Materials:

• American Thread Company "Dawn" Knitting Worsted, Art. W11, 15 (14-16) 1-oz. skeins navy blue.
• "Dawn" Infant's Wool, Art. W5, 1 ball white, 4 yds. red and 1 yd. each black and pink for trim.
• Steel crochet hooks Nos. 0 and 4.
• Five navy buttons 5/8" in diameter.

Gauge: 6 ½ sts=1"; 5 ½ rows=1".
