Chair Sets

Financially, times were lean during the 1940s into the 1960s and funds were often not available for new furnishings.  Chair sets because a popular pattern offering in the Mail Order arena.   These designs were created to disguise worn or protect newer, furniture.  Designs were created in many motifs - birds, flowers, pineapples, etc.   Many also used these designs to grace their buffet tables or sew to the ends of fabric scarves to add to entry tables or join to use as centerpieces.
