Crocheted Square: This crocheted square can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows, chair sets and other household articles. The Bow Knot square can be worked at 4-1/2 or 6 inches.
This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6917. in 1941. - Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook
- or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.
Each square requires approximately 39 yards of heavy cotton or 30 yards of fine cotton.
