Big Needle Knitted Dress Pattern

Tweed Jiffy Knit Dress :   This pattern contains directions to knit the dress pictured.   This is a straight dress in a loose knit created using big 3/4 inch needles.  The dress, above knee length, features a nice roll collar and short sleeves.    Although this old black and white photo doesn't give a clue, it is in a two color contrast scheme.   Wear it with a belt as shown, or tuck and tie a scarf under the edges of the collar.   The pattern is misses sized Small, Medium and Large. Directions are for size 8-10.  Changes for sized 12-14 and 16-18 are in parentheses.    

Materials   COATS & CLARK'S "Red Heart" Knitting Worsted, 4 Ply("Tangle· Proof Pull·Out Skeins): Colors A, Band C-12(14·16) ozs. of each color  AND  "Wintuk" Sport Yarn, 2 Ply (2 oz: "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins) 6 (8·10) ozs. of Color D   AND   J. & P. COATS "Knit· Cro-Sheen":3 (4·4) balls Color E:   Knitting Needles: 1 pair No. 35 (3/4" in diameter). Size K crochet hook.   Gauge: With 5 strands of yam--3 sts = 2"; 2 rows = 1".
