Vintage Knitted Gloves Scarf Set No R2903

Knitted Glove & Scarf Set:  This pattern gives directions to knit the set pictured.  Note that the scarf is an ascot, and could serve nicely as a jabot collar.  The set, worked in fingering yarn, employs decorative cable stripes.  The glove directions are for size medium, with changes for large in parenthesis.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts in 1949. 

MATERIALS 3 skeins Nubby Yarn or 3-ply Fingering Yarn. (2 oz. for scarf if mate alone – 2 oz. for gloves if made alone). 1 Pair Straight Knitting Needles #1 (Standard Size). 1 Double Pointed Needle same size.
