Pinwheel Crocheted Doilies Design 7471

Design 915 - Crocheted Doilies: These crocheted doilies can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The doilies can be used as buffet and luncheon sets or they can be used as odd doilies. Doilies may be made in large (12 or 18"), medium (7-1/2 or 12") or small (3-1/2 or 5-1/2").

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7471 in 1942.  In was also marketed under the Laura Wheeler brand.

Materials:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 5 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook. The large doily requires. approximately 300 yards of heavy cotton, or 180 yards of fine cotton; the medium sized doily requires approximately 95 yards of heavy cotton or 70 yards of fine cotton; the small doily requires approximately 30 yards of heavy cotton or 20 yards of fine cotton.
