Anne Cabots 5155 : This pattern contains direction to crochet the set pictured above. The motif has dual prime features. 1st, there is the delight butterfly shape of the chair back doily, accompanied with individual wings for the arm rests. And, if you look closer, you'll notice that pineapples are added as part of the wings motif.
This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5155 in 1946. The newspaper description: "King Butterfly: A giant of a butterfly - In fact a veritable king of the butterflies, as the crocheted chair-back piece measures a little over eighteen inches from wing tip to wing tip! Crocheted in the famous pineapple motif, the design is one all collectors of such motifs will want.
