Perky Poodle Bottle Cover Crochet Pattern

Leaflet W-761 : This pattern contains directions for crocheting the bottle cover shown. In the 1960's, bottle covers were quite the rage, and a number of pattern designs were brought to us primarily from Coats and Clarks. This design was called Perky Poodle. The design is crafted to fit on a narrow quart bottle. Height is not stated. But, once crocheted, you'll have great fun hunting for just the right size.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

• COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, Art. E. 234 (4 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 1 skein of No. 403 Lt. Oxford and a few yards of No. 12 Black.
• Crochet Hook Size H.
• Cotton batting for stuffing;
• 2 pipe cleaners; 2 buttons for eyes; round elastic; a small piece of red felt; a few sequins and beads.
• 1 bottle (4/5's or 1 quart narrow neck type).
