Mother Baby Bed Jacket Knitting Pattern

Baby and Mother Lacey Gift Set : This pattern contains directions to knit the set shown. Actually, we have two sets here, one from mother and one for baby. Both are in a lacy pattern stitch and so very soft, knit with baby pompadour yarns. The bed jackets feature lacy smocking across the bodice and ribbon ties. Mom's piece is waist length with three quarter sleeves, and for baby, all the way to the toes and short sleeves. Both have coordinating bed socks to keep the footsies warm. The actual size in not stated on this vintage 1940s pattern from Chadwicks, however, I'd assume the baby would be in the 0 - 6 month range and for medium for Mom.

Materials:

CHADWICK'S RED HEART BABY BUNTING POMPADOUR, 18 balls (¾ oz. balls), for set.

For Mother: Bed jacket—10 balls; Bed socks—2 balls.

For Baby:Kimono—5 balls; Booties—1 ball.

5 yards ribbon, ¼ inch wide, for set.

Clark's O.N.T. Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 and 1pair No. 3.

GAUGE: 1 pattern (8 sts) makes 1¼ inches; 8 rows make 1 inch.
