Large Pineapple Crochet Square Pattern Design 7143

Crocheted Square: This pattern contains directions for a large square worked in the pineapple stitch. One square makes a doily or join squares to form cloths, bedspreads, scarfs and other articles. If made of heavy cotton,square may be used as a centerpiece. This square may be crocheted at 20 or 32 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7143.  The newspaper description:  "One square (20 inches) makes a new doily or mat! Four make a 40 inch luncheon cloth! Six at 40 x 60 tablecloth. Use this pineapple beauty for bedspreads, tablecloths too. Easy to memorize!"
