Girls Easy Double Breasted Jacket Pattern

Girls Double Breasted Jacket: This pattern gives directions for knitting the jacket pictured. "Girl's blue jacket is made of a non-wool yarn in an easy-to-knit pattern, then trimmed with a red border by picking up stitches along the front edges and neck. The sleeves are sewn in; there is ribbing at the wrists and waist. Sizes 8 to 14".

SIZES: Directions for size 8. Changes for sizes 10, 12 and 14 are in parentheses.

• Body Chest Size: 26" (28"-30"-32").
• Blocked Chest Size (closed): 28" (30"-32"-34").

MATERIALS:

• Nantuk knitting worsted, 6 (6-7-7) 2-oz. skeins blue, main color (MC); 1 skein red, contrasting color (CC).
• 14" knitting needles Nos. 5 and 8. (Or English sizes 8 and 5.)
• Eight buttons.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1"; 8 rows = 1" (No. 8 needles).
