Double Breasted Knitted Yacht Jacket Pattern

Yacht Jacket: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the jacket pictured. The design, vintage 1962, is referred to as a Yacht Jacket. An intermediate pattern, the design is worked in garter stitch and features a double breasted front closure, collar, and 'almost' full length sleeves. It is detailed with contrast trim and is waist length.  Directions for small size (1012). Changes for medium (14-16) and large (18-20) are in parentheses. 

Materials:   Mary Maxim Double Knitting Wool, 9 (10-11) 2-oz. Skeins white, main color (MC) ; 1 skein navy, contrasting color (CC);   Knitting needles No. 4. (Or English size 9.);   Steel crochet hook No. 0.;   Three stitch holders;   Six 1" buttons.   (GAUGE: 11 sts = 2"; 10 rows (5 ridges) = 1".)
