Description

Filet Crocheted Doilies: These three crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The doilies are started at the center and worked around and around. Included in the pattern is a chart for each doily.

This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2034 in 1939.   The pattern was later released under Laura Wheeler and Alice Brooks brands as well

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. The large doily requires approximately 382 yards of heavy cotton or 256 yards of fine cotton;

LARGE DOILY (19 INCHES IN DIAMETER IF MADE OF HEAVY COTTON; 14 INCHES IF MADE IN FINE COTTON);  The medium sized doily requires approximately 235 yards of heavy cotton or 175 yards of fine cotton, MEDIUM SIZED DOILY (14 INCHES IN DIAMETER IF MADE OF HEAVY COTTON; 10 INCHES IF MADE IN FINE COTTON):   The small doily requires approximately 73 yards of heavy cotton or 60 yards of fine cotton. SMALL DOILY (8 INCHES IN DIAMETER IF MADE OF HEAVY COTTON; 5 1/2 INCHES IF MADE OF FINE COTTON).
