Filet Crochet Chair Set : " This crocheted chair set is made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The set may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as scarf ends. Included in the pattern is a chart for each piece". The chair back on this set has a delightful Home or House scene with a fruit motif at the bottom, as well as fruit on the arm rests. The motifs are surrounded by flowery medallions. The chair back is 14 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 6 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6017 in 1938.  Alice Brooks again released this pattern in 1944.

Materials:  Unbleached Mercerize d Crochet and knitting cotton in (500 yard) skeins (2 skeins of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends.);  No. 7 steel crochet hook.
