Filet Crochet Country House Pattern, Laura Wheeler 1713

Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This filet crocheted chair set, made of unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a filet chart for the chair back and arm rest, also instructions describing how the charts are to be followed.  The chair back will measure 13 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 6 x 12 inches each.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura wheeler 1713 in 1939.  The newspaper description:  "Crochet a snowy bit of filet lace and beautify your chair or buffet! This unusual design works out beautifully in inexpensive mercerized string".

Material Requirements:

• Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.
• 2 skeins of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends
