YSalling Boat Chair Set — Chair back piece is a good-sized one - 11 by 11 inches—and is done in filet crochet. Ship hull is interestingly done in “popcorn” stitch! Arm pieces have ship's anchors for a center motif. Filet chart in pattern is done in dot-and-space form for easy counting of stitches when working. Crochet set in pure white, ecru or marine blue.

Description

Filet Crochet Chair Set :  This pattern gives directions to create the chair doily pattern set pictured.  The design, worked in No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton features a sailing boat on the chair back and an anchor on each of the arm rests.  When completed the chair back will measure 11 x 11 inches.  The size of the arm rests is not stated.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Carol Curtis No 486 in 1952. 

Materials:  6 (400 yd.) Balls #30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton;  #10 Steel Crochet Hook.
