Description

Pinky Doily : This pattern contains instructions for crocheting the doily pictured. This pretty piece, vintage 1940s from American Thread, is worked in two colors of Mercerized Crochet Cotton to render a piece that is either 16 1/2 or 17 inches in diameter, depending upon the weight of the thread. The doily features an attractive fern motif that radiates out from the center, surrounded by ample amounts of mesh and has a grand finish with a floral border.

Materials:

  • AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY, The Famous "PURITAN" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 40, 1 ball each White and Pink (Approximate size 16 ½ inches in diameter)
  • or The Famous "PURITAN" STAR SPANGLED MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 40, 2 balls Silver Spangle, 1 ball Pink Spangle or colors of your choice (Approximate size: 17 inches in diameter)
  • Steel crochet hook No. 7
