Description

Leaflet W-971 : This crochet pattern gives directions to crochet both the vest and hat shown. This set was brought to us by Coats and Clark's Leaflet W-971; issued as a promotion for their Red Heart Knitting Worsted. The below hip length vest is crocheted is a mesh pattern stitch -- so light and airy -- with a waist tie closure. There is a matching hat, which they are calling a beret. The pattern is written for misses size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 in parentheses.

 Materials:  COATS & CLARK'S RED HEART ® KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply ("Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 12 (14, 15, 17) ounces for Vest; 3 ounces for Beret; or Coats & Clark's Red Heart "Wintuk" 4 Ply or "Sayelle" may be used instead of Knitting Worsted;   Crochet Hook Size J.

GAUGE: 2 dc and 2 ch-3 sps = 2 ¼ inches; 2 rows or rnds = 1 ½ inches.
