Leaflet W-971 : This crochet pattern gives directions to crochet both the vest and hat shown. This set was brought to us by Coats and Clark's Leaflet W-971; issued as a promotion for their Red Heart Knitting Worsted. The below hip length vest is crocheted is a mesh pattern stitch -- so light and airy -- with a waist tie closure. There is a matching hat, which they are calling a beret. The pattern is written for misses size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 in parentheses.
"Easy to make in simple stitches ... the vest is important for the popular "layered" look ... the soft beret is a perfect topper".
