Description

Crocheted Sandals:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the pretty sandals pictured.   The official 1953 magazine description:  " “Golden Slippers” for you to wear during your spare-time hours. Crocheted strips of elastic yarn fastened to wedge soles. 

Sizes: Directions are for small size (5-5-1/2). Changes for medium (6-6-1/2) and large (7-7-1/2) sizes are in parentheses.  

Materials:  

Hiawatha Elastic Metallic Yarn of Lastex, Art. 77, or Nylon Elastic Yarn of Lastex, Art. 78, 2 cards.  

Hiawatha Wedge Soles No. 6220.  

Steel crochet hook No. 1. 

Gauge: 7 sts=1" (without stretching).
