Crocheted Handbag Patterns, National Needlecraft 2716

Leaflet No 2716: This pattern gives directions for crochet two different handbags. Both bags are fairly easy crochet project. One bag has short carrying handle, the second bag has bone ring handles. The bags are lined. These patterns were a National Needlecraft offering under leaflet No 2716.

Materials - No 2716

• J. & P. COATS OR CLARK'S O.N.T. PEARL COTTON, Size 5. 8 balls of Black
• CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 3 balls (1 oz. balls) of Black
• Bone Crochet Hook No. 5
• 1/3 yard each of buckram and felt for lining
• 2 rings, 1-1/4 inches in diameter.

GAUGE: 4 sts make 1 inch; 4 rows sc rows and 1 dc row) make 1 inch.

MATERIALS - No 2786:

• CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 8 balls (1 oz. balls) of White
• Bone Crochet Hook No. 5
• 1/3 yard each of felt and buckram
• 2 bone rings, 4 inches in diameter.

GAUGE: 3 clusters make 2 inches; 2 rows make 1 inch.
