Crochet Woven Rug Pattern, 25 x 39

Crocheted Rug:  This pattern gives directions to crochet, and weave, the rug pictured.   The official description of this vintage 1944 design:  Nice new idea for a cotton-crocheted rug, of good solid texture. Made of heavy cotton yarn in tan, blue and wine shades. The tan is used for a mesh background—crocheted—and into this foundation the colors, crocheted in long chains, are woven. Center and border of each square is in wine. Size - about 25 x 39 inches

Materials:  Bucilla Wonder-Knit, 8 skeins tan, 2 skeins wine, 5 skeins dark blue, 2 skeins light blue;    Bucilla white crochet hook, size 4.
