Crochet Wheat Doily Pattern, 3 Sizes No 5253

Crocheted Doilies: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the doily shown above. This pretty piece features a ripe wheat motif. Vary the finished size of your doily but changing thread size and the hook.  Using Size 50 thread and No 12 hook, doily measures 13 inches in diameter. Using Size 30 thread and No 10 hook, doily measures 15 ½ inches in diameter. Using Size 20 thread and No 9 hook, doily measures 17 ½ inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5253 in 1990.   Originally, this pattern was introduced by Coats and Clarks in the late 1950's.  

Materials:    J. & P. COATS BIG BALL BEST SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Art. A. 104, Size 30: 1 ball of White, Ecru, or No. 42 Cream;   Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 10.
