Description

Crocheted Slippers: This pattern contains directions for making two styles of slippers. The first style is the bootee. The second style is more the old-fashioned house slipper. The soles of both slippers are worked entirely in single crochet using rags; the uppers are worked in single crochet and are made of. Knitting Worsted. Both styles can be made in large, medium and small sizes; all three sizes are included in the one pattern.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7479 in 1943.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: (FOR EACH SIZE): 1 (3-3/4 ounce) skein of white and 1/2 skein of blue Knitting Worsted, a No. 6 bone crochet hook and 120 yards of unbleached rags 3/4 inch wide.
