Description

Crocheted Afghan and Pillow: This jiffy crocheted afghan and its matching pillow are made of four shades of Germantown yarn. The afghan is made in strips 3. inches wide and about 66 inches long, as the strips are completed they are joined together with a row of joining sc and chain stitches worked in a contrasting color. If desired the afghan can be made or scrap yarn.   The completed afghan will measure 45 x 66 inches and the pillow is 18 inches square. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: 10 (1 ounce) balls each of dark green, light green and beige and 3 balls of black 4-fold Germantown (afghan) yarn and a No. G steel crochet hook or a No. 6 bone crochet hook.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 728 in 1943.
