Description
Crocheted Medallions: These crocheted medallions are to be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No.30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows, chair sets and other household articles. When completed, the larger motif will measure 3-1/4 or 4-3/4 inches and the fill medallion will measure 1-1/4 or 2 inches in diameter.
This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements. The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1018 in 1941.
MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook. Each large medallion requires approximately 27 yards of heavy cotton or 18 yards of fine cotton. Each small medallion requires approximately 5 yards of heavy cotton or 3-1/2 yards of fine cotton.
