Crocheted Medallion:  This crocheted medallion can be made of mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows, chair sets and other household articles.   Crochet the medallion at 5-1/4 or 7 inches, depending upon materials selected. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2052 in 1939.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 9 steel crochet hook. Each medallion requires approximately 52 yards of heavy cotton or 35 yards of fine cotton.
