Crochet Dog Bone Afghan, Design 7123

Crocheted afghan : This pattern contains directions to crochet the afghan shown. This attractive piece is made up of 220 medallion blocks which measure 7 inches long ; 5-1/2 inches at the widest part and 3-1/2 inches at the narrowest part, in three colors. The medallion blocks are all crocheted and then stitched together to make the finished afghan which measure 70 x 87-1/2 inches without the layer of fringe that goes all the way around

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7123.  It was also included in the 1976 Needlecraft Patterns Catalog. The newspaper description: "Cozy up on cold nights or days with this afghan. Make the family happy! Combine three bright colors for this fringed beauty. Dog bone motif is easy rib double crochet of Knitting Worsted".
