Crochet Bedspread Square, Steeplechase Pattern

Steeplechase A-108 : This pattern contains directions to crochet the cloth shown. Named Steeplechase, the spread is made up of 4 1/2 inch crocheted blocks. The blocks, in two shades, form a geometric type steeplechase effect when joined. Per instructions make a single spread at 70 x 108 inches, or a double spread that is 96 x 108 inches. Or, of course, any size you desire.  A layout diagram is included.

Materials:   J. & P. COATS "KNIT·CRO·SHEEN," Art. A. 64: For Single Size-70 x 108 inches (excluding border): 30 balls of No. 1 White, No. 61 Ecru or No. 42 Cream and 35 balls of No. 76 Robinette.   For Double Size-96 x 108 inches (excluding border): 39 balls of No. 1 White, No. 61 Ecru or No. 42 Cream and 47 balls of No. 76 Robinette;   Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No.7.

GAUGE: Each motif measures 4 ½ inches square.
