By MRS. ANNE CABOT:

Prices are up, as you well know, on childrens clothes—and it takes forever to hunt through the shops to find, not what you want, but what they have! It's really no fun shopping for kids these days. But knitted cardigans in soft wools ean be made at home at very little expense. Size 4 takes 6 ounces of knitting worsted—size 5 and 6 require 8 ounces.

Child's Knitted Sweater:   This is a beginner easy knitting pattern for boy or girl knitted sweater sized 4, 5 and 6.   "Knitted cardigans, exactly alike will please little brother and sister. They're made of a very heavy dark red or navy wool and are as warm as they are smart looking!. Size 4 takes 6 ounces of knitting worsted--for sizes 5 and 6, use 8 ounces. The stitch is simple, the effect adorable! You'll probably find yourself knitting several, in different colors, some for gifts and some to add to your children's wardrobe".
