Checkerboard Knitted Slippers, leathered sole

Checkerboard Lounge Slippers.   This pattern gives directions for knitting, crochet edging, the slippers pictured.   These are billed as lounge slippers and require a purchased sole.  A 3/4 page chart is included for knitting the checkerboard motif in three colors.  The pattern is written for size small, with changes for medium and large in parentheses. 

Materials:  1 pr. Tuxedo After-Ski Soles, Style No. 417B;   Knitting Worsted, 4 ozs. Medium Color (M); 2 ozs. Dark Color (D) ; 1 oz. Light Color (L);   No. 4 knitting needles;   No. 1 steel crochet hook;   4 bobbins.
