Checked Jacket Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Knitted Jacket Patterns : This pattern set contains instructions to knit both the jackets pictured. These designs, vintage 1960 from Bernat were issued as two separate patterns - Style No 148-92 and Style No 149-92. Both quite similar, both quite nice, they are loose fitting designs with three quarter length sleeves. One jacket features a notch collar; the other is collarless. The collarless jacket has banding around the banding, making it just a bit longer at hip length, than the other. The collared jacket has an eight button front closure. Both are sized small (8-10), medium (12-14) and large (16-20).

Materials:

• BERNAT Venetian (1 oz. pull skeins) — 8 (9-9) Main Color (M C); 5(6-6) Contrasting Color (C C)
• 1 pair straight knitting needles No. 8 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE
• 8 rings (for collared jacket)

GAUGE: 4 sts = 1 inch; 10 rows = 1 inch
