Black and Nu Ecru Hat and Bag Set : This pattern contains directions to crochet the set shown. This pattern is a replica of the National Needlecraft Bureau Leaflet P.C. 8261, vintage 1940s. The set includes a cute cloche hat with a plain brim and a checked motif brim. The matching bat has a round flat bottom and bows up to form an oblong top with a zipper closure and tie cord. The bag is lined.

Materials:

• COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "SPEED-CRO-SHEEN" MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. C.44: 5 balls of No. 12 Black and 2 balls of No. 61-D Nu-Ecru.
• Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero).
• 12 inch Crown Zipper, Art. F.2, Black.
• Six brass rings, 7/8 inch in diameter.
• ¼ yard of black material, 27 inches wide.
• Buckram, 1-1/2 inches wide, 21 inches long.
• Cardboard.

GAUGE: 5 dc make 1 inch; 3 dc rnds make 1 inch.
