Striped Cardigan : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the cardigan shown. The description of this 1952 design from McCalls: Sleeves and body are knit in one in this soft shouldered blouse with the dressmaker details. The candy stripes are worked in with a crochet hook after the blouse is knitted." The pattern is misses size 12, 14 and 16.
Materials:
- Beehive Scotch Fingering Yarn, 3 Ply, Patonised Shrink-and-Stretch Resist Finish, 8 (9-9) 1-oz. "Tangle-proof" pull-out skeins white, main color (MC); 1 skein navy, contrasting color (CC).
- Aluminum or plastic knitting needles Nos. 1 and 3 (standard). English Sizes, 12 and 10.
- Steel crochet hook No.7.
- Seven buttons.
