Butterfly Filet Crochet Pattern, Chair Set, American Weekly 3697

Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This filet crochet chair set, made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a filet chart for the chair back and arm rest, also instructions describing how the charts are to be followed.  The chair back will measure 12-1/2 x 16 and the arm rests are 6 x 12-1/2 inches each. 

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through The American Weekly newspaper insert.  The pattern was marketed as American Weekly No 3697 in 1937. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins;   No. 7 steel crochet hook;   2 (500 yard) skeins will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends.
