Bulky Knit Cardigan Blouse Pattern, Short Sleeve

Jumbo Cardigan :   This pattern gives directions to knit the cardigan shown.   The design, vintage 1953, is short sleeved, semi-fitted with deep v-neckline and buttoned front.  The pattern is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14 and 16.   The official description:  "The year's best! The fashionable collarless cardigan made, in almost no time, of a heavy yarn. Seed-stitch borders define the V-neck closing, the cropped sleeves"   

Materials: 

• Bear Brand Jumbolaine or Fleisher's Jumbo-Knit. 6 (7-7) 2-oz. skeins. 
• Bucilla plastic knitting needles Nos. 8 and 13. (Or English sizes 5 and 0.) 
• Five buttons.

Gauge: 13 sts=4".
