Description

Boucle de Laine Evening Blouse : This pattern has directions to knit, crochet detail, the blouse pictured. This design, vintage 1950, is a cute - perfect for summer - top. It features extended shoulders in openwork and has just above waist cropped length and a front button closure. The end piece was billed as an evening blouse -- the official magazine description - "Evening blouse of Boucle de Laine, in the new short cropped length, with openwork top and mirror buttons."

SIZES 14, 16, 18 - Instructions are for size 14. Changes for sizes 16 and 18 are in parentheses.

Materials:

  • Bernat Boucle de Laine, 4 (4-5) 1 ½ oz. balls.
  • Straight knitting needles No. 2 (standard). English size, 11.
  • Steel crochet hook No. 4.
  • Elastic thread.
  • 11 buttons.
  • 1 yd. 1" grosgrain ribbon.

Gauge: 8 sts=1"; 12 rows=1".
