Description

Crocheted Medallion - Tablecloth:  This lovely wild rose, crocheted medallion creates a handsome tablecloth or an equally good looking bedspread. The tablecloth requires mercerized crochet cotton and the weight of the thread for a bedspread is slightly coarser and has no sheen. Extremely fine thread may be used to create a dresser scarf.   The finished medallions measures 5-1/2 inches.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Design 838 by Needlework Bureau in 1940.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: 10 Skeins Mercerized Crochet Cotton (700 yards each);   1 Steel Crochet hook #5
