Description

Square Neck Jerkin :This vintage 1947 pattern contains directions to knit, crochet edges, the top pictured above. Officially termed a Jerkin (defined as sleeveless jacket), it featured wide shoulders, square neckline with contrast trim and a wide band at bottom.  The top is below waist. The pattern is sized 10, 12 and 14 (Bust 30, 32 and 34).   This is an easy pattern.   My apologies for the 'quite grainy' picture; this was just a 3 inch magazine clipping.

Materials:   Knitting worsted in pearl grey (primary) and brown; knitting needles No 6;   Bone crochet hook no 6;   3 buttons.
