Shawl Collar Jacket Knitting Pattern

Knitted Jacket Pattern : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the jacket shown. Once knit (an intermediate to advanced skill level), you'll find that you love it so much you'll dread the approaching of warmer weather! One could say the defining feature is the large shawl collar and dips to a low v-point in the back, back that would be over looking the grand pattern stitch, and wide ribbing and front button feature. The directions are written for a size 12, with changes for 14, 16 and 18 in parentheses.

Materials:

• BERNAT Venetian (1 oz. pull skeins) — 12 (13-14-15) Main Color (M C); 10 (11-12-13) Contrasting Color (C C)
• 1 pair each straight knitting needles Nos. 5 and 8 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW
• 1 steel crochet hook No. 0
• 3 1-1/4 inch rings for buttons

GAUGE: 9 sts = 2 inches; 8 rows = 1 inch (after blocking)
